In order to purchase any of our products/services you must be aged 18 or over. On 1 October 2015 it became illegal for retailers to sell electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) or e-liquids to someone under 18 and for adults to buy (or try to buy) tobacco products or e-cigarettes for someone under 18. Liberty Flights have always implemented a company policy of not selling to ‘minors’ from the start of its business.

Due to this regulation and to ensure compliance with the law, Liberty Flights have implemented some steps as follows, to ensure consumers are of the correct legal age:

All new accounts registered on our website will now include a request for the consumers date of birth. You'll only need to do this once as our records will identify that you have already confirmed your age for future purchases.

Any current registered accounts made prior to the new law, will be asked to confirm date of birth at the end of the checkout process. This again only needs completing once.

Following your date of birth being entered, either as a new or existing account, the first purchase on every account after 1st October 2015 will require your age to be verified by a third party, industry recognised age verification service. The service currently use by Liberty Flights is GB Group.

At times, the age verification check may fail or be referred. Without the correct information, we will not be able to verify your age and you will not be able to make a purchase. To ensure that the checks do not fail, when creating an account, please supply your full name and address as they appear on the Electoral Roll, passport or driving licence - this is usually your card billing address or current home address.

Part of this process, if we cannot match on the electoral roll, is to perform a credit check. However, the type of check we do is called a soft credit check that does not leave the same type of imprint that affects your ability to get credit, it's basically a check on your address details. This type of check will show in Experian and similar platforms but it should be vastly different than a true credit check. A web page for further reading on the Experian website is here. Please note, no details of your credit file are shared with Liberty Flights, our provider simply tells us if you have passed, or failed, the age verification process.
