Jackie i admit your absolutly right theres no need to waste good filler on 6v better just enjoy dripping directly. have now several 6 v dedicated panda tips(510s and R4081) who tend to cover the whole atty, with large drip hole in the top  Wink

I must admit Doc I've been using the blue foam @5v on the passthrough, but yeah I'm still distrustful of doing it @6v.  I don't know if it would melt but don't really want to take the chance.  Smiley

Using the blue foam with the LG at 6V--no problems. Not had any melting or burning with the blue foam.  I tend to alternate between the various volts.

Have you noticed with the blue foam....when you top up, there's a little dimple where it's been touching the bridge ?  It soon pops up with a pin though Smiley

it happens to all the foam and fillers. just fluff and fill. I think the blue foam fluffs back into place better than the regular filler.

i tend to push my blue foam about 1cm back of the atty and have no complaints on 6v, but most times i just use a panda-tip straight on top of the atty, pushed all the way over the atty infact and drip trough the top hole. i use the same tip now 2 month on my copper mod on 6v with a R4081 Atomiser, still going strong....

On the Moo Cow theme, I nipped into one of the cruddy Poundshops an hour or so ago looking for some foam to mod a clasp case I've got and I saw a batteryless LED torch (admittedly made from a crappy plastic) in a cow theme.
I probably should have photographed or bought it and posted it to Garry, the LED bulbs were situated in the mouth, it was roughly rectanular in shape and it has a squeeze type windup to provide power. It's very roughly the size of some box mods I've seen reviewed.

I've not noticed any "windup" or clockwork mods for vaping, but is it concievably possible that such a mechanism could be used? I'm guessing the answer is no due to the raw power requirement for vaping or one of the modding lunatics out there would have at least posted one. Totally silly idea?

Probably,  as I also thought of it a week or so ago  Wink  Wouldn't it be marvelous if they could be modded?  Imagine, everyone winding their "fags" up in the pub. LOL   Grin

Well this has more of a pump action than a winder, but I agree there's a certain elegance to using a clockwork power source to charge a bettery on vaping device. It would give the word analog a much better alternative connotation in the vaping world  Wink
