Hi guys a little advice please.

I have recieved a smok tech dct and some 2.0ohm boge cartos.

Made two holes in the boge filled up with juice till it came out of the holes and left it to soak for a few hours.

Popped it into the tank, filled up the tank and now all it seems to do is leak out the bottom onto the threads

I have blown through the centre hole but this just seems to force more juice out of the bottom.

It vapes ok but is tasteless any ideas please?

Think you may have punched through the centre tube as well. I did that on my first one and it leaked all over the place

I did 4 - 5 half turns and that seemed to puncture the outer sleeve without damaging the centre tube.. assuming you have the Siam mods punch like mine.

I agree with that diagnosis! It sounds as though you may have punched too far into the Boge and punctured the centre tube. When you punch cartos you just need to go through the outer metal so you can see the wadding underneath

I used a saw blade and cut a slot in it and was careful to stop when I saw the wadding.

It pops and gurgles and tastes burnt now lol. I was looking forward to this set up.

I wonder if the slot(s) is too big? I haven't tried the slot method. Maybe just one slot insead of two. Sounds like too much fluid is getting into the cart if the centre tube isn't punctured.

Ok I have another carto which I have punctured 2 small holes in so will try that one.

With mine the holes are so small (not the dents, but the holes) that I have to blow to ensure I have punctured the outer tube. If the holes are too big then I guess the atomizer is drowned with liquid and it will also leak out of the bottom of the cart.

tanks usually get a build up of pressure i find, especially after a refill, i make sure i fill them whilst unnatched to the mod.

do not leave them upright at first unnatatched to the mod, leave tank on its side for a bit, check for leaks, if ok, pop it on the mod and vape away../

this seems to have worked out for me and cured the problem...

There's no good reason you should get a burnt taste then dude, unless that carto is a wrong 'un...

I have just filled my dct with pre holed carto and am getting nasty burnt taste.

Filled tank and then covered the bottom of the carto and took drags to back fill it. (followed a video on ewetube)

Any way of salvaging it? the hole is clear but it tastes rank $:-\$

Dusk, everybody has their own 'trick' for filling the Boge, use your chosen method and try the following:-

I have found I get about 45-50 drops to fill an xxl properly with a little flooding and I always leave it for at least 15 mins before using it.
I have also found that I keep filling until the wadding I can see through the hole/slot is wet, then I know it's pretty much near the bottom.
At this point put the bottom plug and condom on if you haven't already and 'flick' about 10 times holding the 'mouth' end. I find this forces the juice down further.
Give a few good blows with a tissue over the bottom before assembly to clear the excess and any residual juice normally clears in 10-20 drags or so.

I really hope you get these working, once started they are superb.

i put a few drops then hold it at the top and kind of flick it down a couple of times with a wrist movement.
repeat until juice no longer gets taken in.
i have done this from day one with bogies, have had no issues/dry hits even using 100% VG and ready to vape with no waiting...

Really getting frustrated now. The whole shooting match is wet till it is dripping out of the bottom etc and after a dozen draws is as dry as a nuns proverbials. I dont think juice is being drawn out of the tank. Should i increase the hole in the cart?

Set up:

LT at 3-3.5v
DCT V2 and 1.5 ohm cartomiser

Anywhere above 3.5v is tasted like a burning settee and after 10 pulls at any voltage it tastes like a burning settee.

Daniella88 told me a little trick that she tried the other day and today I had a Boge which seemed to have wicking problems and gave a burnt rubber taste with a hint of burnt fish heads

She used some tweezers to pull the wadding up so i tried it and although I couldn't actually move the wadding, I did move the little tube in the middle so I pushed it back down and continued trying to pull the wadding up. I am not sure I managed to move it at all but when I took another draw on it, it was vaping really good !

What I think is happening is that when the carto is assembled something is getting compressed and lifting the wadding is releasing some pressure.

No luck so I switched the 1.5 ohm dct for a 2.5 ohm that I ordered at the same time. Removed the juice from the tank (spilling a load in the process)

Primed the new cartomiser till it came out of the holes in the tube and the connection hole a few drips. I then filled the tank Nd it is vaping well at 5v on my v6 but won't even fire on my LT at any voltage. I also noticed that the 1.5 ohm cart had one hole in the body and the 2.5 has 3 holes. Could this have been the problem? 3 holes makes more sense to me but it doesn't answer the question about it not firing in my LT?

Any ideas folks?

Perhaps the carto is not making contact with the centre pin on the LT. Try with a needle or small flat screw driver, wiggling the centre pin gently then try again. Sometimes the centre pin gets sticky and can get pushed in a little when devices are screwed on.

Thanks mate will look at that this morning. The 2.5 ohm carto has given no problems and is vaping lovely on my v6 I can taste the difference very nice.
