The 80's was a very good time arcades, spent most my Saturdays in one, playing and a sort of meet up place, i think Starwars and Tron were my favorites, i would think your Galaxian should be worth a bit these days, think i played that at collage.Know what you mean about being addicted, probably why i still play at my age, portal 2 comes into its own when playing co-op for me, so i tend to only do co-op or pve, unfortunately people do and always will cheat.
Another reason i stopped playing consoles was that new games were about 40-60 quid and at that time i was getting about £150 a week, payed friday, skint monday.

woah, Jetboy that takes me back, my kids don't believe me that we used to spend hours coding and that games came on cassette tapes, we went pong, atari woody, trs-80,zx81, speccy, dragon32, amiga500 - I loved the amiga, I can't believe how good the graphics were back then :) then I got my own when I left home,I used to play all the empire builders; age of empires had me hooked for a very long time lol.
As for the cake, tis a pity it is a lie, I love black forest gateau  ;). I can't get on with portal 2 on the xbox either, the controllers suck big time  :(.
We've only just succumbed to the xbox 360, my brother gave the boys his original xbox last year -we got the xbox 360 because they'd outplayed all the games and wanted the newest versions, it was cheaper than a PC rebuild, I prefer the wii, cos I'm a mariokart addict  ;)

Nitro:
Now your talking.....mariokart is one of my all time favorite driving games had it for the snes and N64, rainbow road used to do my head in  ;D
