I thought i saw someone on here the other day, sorry get confused with all the post i have been reading who it was...... pottski maybe?.... with a very nice gaming pc, yes you may say i am a bit old for that kind of hobby but started when it started in 81' and been hooked ever since.
Brag about your pc's built yourself or not :)

Never built gaming PC's but I have used many company servers to create LAN parties  ;D

Krypt2Nyte:
Love my PC gaming. Have built several gaming machines over the years, but the costs are crazy now.
Still love CS, BF2 and racing games.
I play loads of BF2 AiX still.

Nitro:
BF2 is one of my all time favorites, i have BF3 now but its got to a point when the enjoyment is lacking due to the thought of cheating, which is why i tend to play SP or co-op , mmo's from time to time but then only pve.
As for cost i know what you mean, i tend to just upgrade my graphic cards before anything else, had this one for about 1yr now and the rest of the rig about 2-3yrs, i don't go for everything on highest setting and hope it works, as long as i can play it and it looks ok, its good enough.
