Turk & USA - DIY to same as LF pre-mix?

I discovered a nice mix of Turk and USA with double mint pre-mixes to be my favourite so far.

My goal with the DIY was to mix a batch of the Turk and a batch of the double mint to the correct strength, then combine the two as I have been doing with the pre-mix.

I can't seem to get the same as the turk pre-mix though. I have one batch at 12% flavour (plus 2% of peppermint and 2% spearmint), which seems weak, and another at 4% that is stronger with deeper colour but not the same as the LF pre-mix. Very confusing. Neither have any nic in yet.

Also, the stronger solution is lighter than the weaker solution, both are too light compared to the LF. Is is possible adding the mint at the same time is messing with the steeping process? Both have been steeped for about five days and the smell has definitely mellowed.

Suggestions? The Turk is the most important one as I found adding the double mint can vary a lot in the pre-mixes and still give me a pleasant vape.

Quick update, colour appears to be irrelevant. Just got some more LF Turk and it is clear, the double mint is caramel coloured!

You'll find that colour changes with age fodder...  they tend to go darker as they get older...
