This is my second review as a result of OKS releasing a range of "rolling tobacco" flavours.   Owing to availability in 10ml size, these flavours are at 30mg strength...

As usual, the OKS 30mg Old Holburn liquid was used in a 901 enabled Screwdriver (Mk II). I've vaped my way through about 8ml or so of the liquid.

The liquid came packaged in a childproof plastic squeezy bottle of the same type used by ecis and LF, but with no ingredients list - I regard this as a fairly big minus - but a bigger minus is the absence of safety warnings on the bottles.  (The bottle has no YNDK mark, so this is almost certainly not Dekang liquid - and DK don't make liquid above 24mg as far as I know)

Liquid is a nice "bright gold" colour and very clear. The liquid itself has a strong tobacco smell - with a slight but not unpleasant "vegetation" element and a very slight "lime" hint.

The liquid flows well which really makes it soak into the cart well.

When vaped, the liquid really does have a "roll-up" taste and a smokey nature which is quite distinct from the OKS Drum liquid - if anything this is nearer to being just a smoke taste, and is one of the most purely tobacco-like liquids I've tried.  The aftertaste is smokey/tobacco with just a bit of a sharp lime-like undertone.

Like the OKS Drum, with a fresh battery the hit is excellent - there is a real tobacco/smoke nature to the hit as well - again, I don't think this is down to strength as I've used stronger liquids with less hit.

The aftertaste doesn't hang around, and does not leave my mouth dry OR "sweet".

The vapour has a real tobacco smell to it (one who stuck his nose right into a fresh cloud of it said it smelled a bit "Condor" pipe tobacco like) but it doesn't hang around or travel far.

Overall, I've really enjoyed vaping this liquid, and have probably enjoyed it even more than the Drum.  Not an "exciting" flavour, but really close to a roll-up.  So, I would recommend it to tobacco lovers and especially ex-rollie users.   I will buy this one again - another pleasant surprise, as I have been a bit luke warm about earlier OKS flavours...

Another great review Prof - I'm getting tempted more and more to give them a go now but the lack of ingredients/warnings puts me off!!

Thanks again.

Perhaps George will read this and take note - he has moved to childproof tops recently which was a good/vital step...

Another great review sir.

As an ex-rollie smoker myself, i'd love to see you one day post a top-5 'shoot-out' of all the rollie flavours you have reviewed thus far. It would be very interesting to hear your opinions on how they've all compared to date Smiley

Tempted to try this myself after reading this.  Won't be for a while as I'm quite well stocked up now but I'll put this on my list.  Smiley

I've just started vaping 38mg OKS Old Holborn double flavour cut with glycerin to about half strength.

There is a smokiness to the taste, a great throat hit with a fresh 14500 battery and great, dense vapour with the glycerin added.  There is a pithy stem type flavour (not quite woody  Grin) and a citrus sharpness as well.  It is definitely a good tobacco flavour.

I really like it!  Grin

Thanks prof for your initial review.

i smoked Old Holborn for over 40 years, so you can imagine how pleased i was to find this review. Will jump in and get some and let you know my thoughts on it.

After about 6 months of trying many flavours, i have whittled it down to 2, TW Virginnia and the good old LF Silver and Gold. If they run out ,i don't mind a couple of their other tobacco type flavours just to get by.

So here's hoping i can increase to 3 my choices.

Thanks for the review Prof.

yup prof. one hell of a tasty rollup ish taste here and ty for the report.
scylla the hunt for tabacco leftovers is a common and healty exercise(all the moving arround)less desperate times ahead!!

P.S.:tasted butts ~(or was that tastebuds)are a funny thing Roll Eyes, you can help nutralise and clear them by gargling dayly in the morning with a litle sesame oil swishing the oil around the toung for about 1-2minutes this optimises the astringent more subtile taste receptors to the max!!. Well - I'm WRONG apparently (it happens sadly Wink )

On the OKS forum the moderator Anthracite asked George and George said the tobacco flavours are VG !!!

I'm amazed - wouldn't have thought so myself - ah well...

Surprising, I'd have guessed at a PG/VG mix, the 5 tobacco flavours that I've tried all produced loads of vapour so I presumed that was why.  You live and learn.  Smiley
