Virgina Blend.. you know.. I've come to the realisation that I don't actually like either Stuyvesant or Virgina Blend but as they both, in different ways, remind me of smoking.. I keep on chugging away on them. The virginia gives me the almost metallic chemical taste (not as bad as it sounds but yer.. bit of a rough description I admit) and the Stuyvesant gives me the cigarette smoke taste (again, rough description.. but it reminds me of that).. so not overly enjoyable flavours to be perfectly straight about it... and yet I keep on vapin`...

I've found the D'Doff to be an equal to Winston in regards to actually tasting nice but in a creamy, chocolate way.. so.. an odd name but I think it's one well worth trying out if you're into the tobacco flavours. For some reason, I have gone off the sweet flavours for the time being.. when I first started vaping, the sweet flavours were all I really liked.. you'd think it would be the opposite.. but I guess you just go phases with it.

Vaping just isn't the same as it was for the first 6 months.. it's now become a daily ritual just anything else, so while I still enjoy it.. it's certainly lost a lot of the appeal that it once did.. am I calling it quits with vaping? Not by a long shot.. it's just an observation I made..

I've fallen in love with the LF vg Cigar flavour..really tastes like the little Cafe Creme cigars I used to smoke. Fantastic warm, rich, full flavour. Not too sweet either. Scott (igetcha69) recommended it and I am glad he did! I think it is beautiful and fantastic. I'd like to try adding a drop of Diablos Loco to give it an extra kick though! I also would like to try the LF Pg Cigar, to see if it is even less sweet?

I am putting down the Rath Waffle Juice I bought... I am not too keen - the flavours I have are all a bit meh... and slightly odd. There is a necessity to grasp for the flavour that really works my uvula .... and once you have it you wonder why you bothered.

Yup.. know what you mean.. you grab the flavour that sounds really nice.. like COndensed Milk.. but it just doesn't taste nice at all when vaped... I went back to Strawberry Tart after a long time and found that I don't really like it all that much to be perfectly honest. At the time when I first got it, it was really nice because it was very sweet and made me feel like I was vaping a strawberry milkshake.. but for the long haul, the flavours I tend to end up on are rather bland but don't get old..

After weeks of trying new flavours and the like, I am back to my tried and tested Winston. As I commented in another thread, even your most favourite of favourites is going to get tired out if you repeatedly hammer it for weeks or months at a time.. just like you can't eat the same thing day in day out if you are wanting to not only be satisfied but also enjoy the experience...

I've enjoyed the other flavours and have a couple of new secondary favourites but there's nothing like coming back to an old favourite and realising just how much you loved it.. Winston maybe a little sweeter than the Stuyvesant and Virgina Blend, which I have been vaping mostly for the last few weeks, but it has a smooth smokiness that just can't be found in those other two. It is the well-rounded sweetness rather than a sharp sweetness that makes the smokiness work so well.. It's like the flavour you expected wine or alcohol to be when you didn't know what it tasted like as a kid.. You see all these grown-ups drinking and enjoying it, especially the wine, and you think "Wow that must be some amazing stuff.". In reality, prune juice is closer to what you imagined it to taste like.. or something like that anyway Tongue

So it is the same with the Winston, it is the imaginary taste of tobacco, the taste you wanted it to taste like but never did because in reality, tobacco tastes like ash with overtones or undertones of something the cigarette manufacturers use to hide the ash taste..

It doesn't have to be Winston of course, that's just the flavour that does it for me.. it's the idea that something can actually be what you originally imagined it to be.. Cheesy

Yer.. another thing you can try is to find flavours that are similar to but not tobacco. Like caramel is a base sort of flavour to many tobaccos. You can't taste the caramel really but it is there in a lot of the "toffee" like flavours. So rather than vaping the tobacco flavour, you could try the caramel flavour in its pure form. Another popular tobacco flavour ingredient is aniseed and while the flavour of aniseed by itself might not be to your liking, mixed with other things it might very well become your favourite flavour. So try to think outside the box.. think about what it is about the flavour you are currently vaping that makes it so great.. and unique. Then try to find that same flavour in its pure form.

funny enogh my asian caramel that used to be named so aptly " tainted love" by (i guess) Abe is still my favorit vape mixed with several other flavours of cig liquid (camel or usa& turk , etc. ) or on its own .
still like winston or B&H, old holborn and septwolf.  still got  manny DIY-flavors i have yet to try out.
something to look forward to.

Still on the Del's Ultimate Pipe Smiley Also when I want some Menthol, I go for teh JuiceWhore menthol blend.. I am trying to decide between "Lime Splice" and "Snowy Mountain Dew" as the next one.. the Mountain-Dew ones smells exactly like the Mountain Dew drink.. so it has a pineapple-like fragrance along with a bit of fizzy zing..

On the JuiceWhore "Spliced Lime" today and yesterday was on "Snowy Mountain Dew". Both exceptionally nice flavours.. though the Spliced Lime is a bit odd.. (we have these type of ice-cream blocks in Australia called "Splice".. basically an outer layer of flavoured ice covering an inner layer of vanilla ice cream). It is going to be a difficult one to review.. haha.. Cheesy
