Flavourart RY4 Concentrate
davew:
I got myself a bottle of RY4 concentrate from LF.
I first mixed it up at 1% and it tasted very weak, so then I mixed it at 3% and there is definitely a nice flavour there but i'm not getting the caramel sweetness of the premixed RY4's I have tried.
Should I try mixing it a bit stronger?
Has anybody tried this concentrate yet?
What ratio are you using?
I was treating the concentrarion of the RY4 as per the recommendations for other flavourart tobacco flavours but I have found it to be a bit weak.
The Perique Black is very nice as is the Turk & USA.
I am finding with these that 1 drop of flavour per 1ml of unflavoured eliquid (using 30 drops per ml) is about right and this works out at 3% for these flavours but the RY4 seems a bit weaker.
Portugal Barry:
Sounds about right, I tend to add things like caramel and vanilla to my mixes to get an approximation of the premix. Just keep playing and you can find you will end up making flavours that are better than some you can buy.
LibertyFlights-Abe:
Add more for the ry4, yeah.
davew:
Well after a bit of experimentation a made the RY4 up to 5ml with 20% concenrate and left to rest overnight.
This was too strong so I diluted by half with unflavoured eliquid so making it approx a 10% mix in 10ml.
Left this a few hours and it was weak and watery. I then added an additional 5% to make a 15% mix and kept it in the car this afternoon where it was warm and tried it again this evening.
Wow this is nice, full of candy floss, toffee apple flavour with a hint of tobacco. A nice throat hit too at 24mg. I believe this is how RY4 should be but never tried the original RY4.
I would recommend anyone who is into mixing and likes RY4 to give this a try. £2.99 for 5ml and by my calculations you could make just over 30ml from a bottle.
Cheekiecharlie:
I find i need about 20 -25% flavour maybe my tastebuds are just shot with years of smoking analoges :)
