just a fue pictures of a button i'm making for a forum member. Grin forgive the delays.
with no doubt, oneof the for some eason hardest creative job's for a long time,  since i need to be in the right space to cut plus they are cut from vulcanic rock incrusted rawlings.
here are a fue pics to show a rare type of semi fluressent amber with a blue-green tint.
hard to photograph with my limited equipment....in sertain lights the stone lights up bleer and in other lights more green sometimes boath together.

Yes.. very nice indeed.. I can't make it out from the pictures but is it a smooth finish? I mean it's not going to become painful to use etc?

Thanks for the pics, doc. Is that my switch, it looks green, or is that just the gem making it look green?

You were saying about different colours and not to sound overly picky, I don't think I like the green much. Sad

lol no worrys it looks more green on the pics then it is naturally. its somehow more blue then it shows but greentones are there too. i gladly look out for a more blue one, as long as you dont overly miss your LG  yet.
they are verry smooth btw light Wink allso vairly light-waight and warming to the touch.
amber can swimm up in a stormy surface saltwater in the wintercold seawater, hardness scale of amber is 3-4 or 5? depends on the geological erea it is from(Dominican republik Blue Amber is for example suposedly 20-25% harder then Baltic Amber.its verry tough and damage resistant in overall therfore highly usefull and desired as a gemstone.

the first two pictures show the 5 gems i choosen for now 3 are round( your choice will be finally rounded one's you found one you like) one is sligtly amorpeous shaped and one is oval the pictures show different colour tones as it depends on the lighting what colour they show yellow to orrange in these cases 3 out of the 5 are baltic amber i brought back and 2 are dominican republikan.
let me know in case one resonates with you.
pictures amber 26 and27 shouldent be in there.....they are of the gem i made preveously.

and they are taken on you lovely (now silver little gem  Wink )
just to show you what that first made gem looks like on your model, still looks greenish though in the right sunlight one third shines up ruther blue. in normal light or artificial light it's ruther predominantly green.
this whole blue amber serch is harder then i reconed, either the stones are to thin to cut nice gems or to large to warrant to cut them down, however i carry on looking again tomorrow to see if one pops up. the gems i photograped earlyer are all clear even thought   one or two apeare opague thats one reason more why i took 2-3 pictures of the same gems on the LG to show you just how mutch the colour can change depending on flash and angle i shot the pics from.
all pics are take about the same time.

I'm leaving for a holiday next week and I was kind of hoping we could have had this sorted by now. I've been using my passthrough and been pretty happy with it, but I would like something more portable to go away with. Could you maybe send it back up and we could fix this later on in maybe a month?

I've been in no real rush and I've not missed it, I just need it for next week.
