This review is another of one of the flavours from Totally Wicked's new "all American" Patriot Range - Pillbox 38's Mad Dog

As usual, the TW 36mg liquid was used in a 901 enabled Screwdriver (Mk II). I've vaped my way through about 20ml of the liquid so far, so a pretty intensive trial.   I had to buy 36mg - a bit stronger than I normally do - as it is only available in 12mg, 18mg and 36mg.  I prefer somwhere between 24mg and 30mg myself...

The liquid comse somewhat overpackaged in my view - a beautifully printed box containing two beautifully printed boxes Wink - one containing the the liquid in a CHIP compliant glass bottle which is well-labelled, the other a glass dropper top for the same.  I also got one of TW's little black 5ml squeezy bottles thrown in...

Liquid is almost colourless - the barest hint of a yellow tinge - and very clear.   The liquid is descibed by TW as a "dynamic flavor of strong tobacco blended with black pepper and mustard seed" and does indeed smell strongly of a mix of tobacco and pepper - but the smell is not at all unpleasant.

The liquid is thicker than OKS and Dekang liquids, but flows well and soaked into my e-cigs 4075 cart well.

When vaped it has a cig-like smoke taste with pepper and mustard additions - it fact exactly as decribed - an almost unique occurence! The aftertaste is peppery with some tobacco and just enough sweetness to remove any unpleasantness from the pepper and mustard elements.  The liquid is not very mouth drying at all, other than a very slight stickyness.

The flavour really stands up to heavy use.

The hit is excellent - and very pronounced on exhale as well as inhale - in fact the exhale is the nearest I've found to exhaling cig-smoke.

The vapour has a tobacco/smoke smell to it with certain spiceyness. The smell does hang around - people has commented - I quite like the smell, one of my ex-smoker friends said it smelt really good and, importantly, my wife hasn't complained.

The liquid is not as fierce as "Mad Dog" would imply - it's really "well behaved" for me - I'd call it "Grumpy Puppy" myself.  I've enjoyed this so much I've ordered two more 30ml bottles, which says it all...

I'm not much of a fan of pepper or mustard so that's enough to put me off this one.  Smiley

Not really into the tobacco flaves at the moment, but think I might give this one a go should I change my mind later on. I think the "hit" & "exhale" comments secured it.

Great review!

I had a bash of this @36mg, Every one is different I suppose. If it was not for the description I would never have taken this as a tobbacco flavour.
to me it seemed more citrus than anything else. Never got pepper, never got mustard (two tastes I love from a good cigar).
on the whole it vaped ok for me but since I dont like cirtusy vapes not one I use alot.

How odd?  Makes me wonder if what you got WAS Mad Dog? (Regardless of whatever it said on the label!)  I still think it's more "Grumpy Puppy" than "Mad Dog" though...

I have noticed that in the past, I remember getting state express and cigar from them and they were identical (red label). Diden't like the liquid so to this day never ordered either just in case!

So in the liquid you tried there was no zesty citrusy flavour at all?
When I tried mine I was tempted to go to consumer standards for false advertising!!!
If you were to compare it to another tobacco flavour what would it be?
My bottle tasted quite like TW Apple mixed with DV Congnac.

Difficult to come up with a "like" - but I didn't find it as you describe - don't recall citrus if my memory is correct...

Got hold of a bottle of the Mad Dog while it was on offer. Have to say It's unique. I definitely taste the mustard coming through. To me, more reminiscent of a Dijon flavour note rather than Hard Core English mustard. I also like the pepper kick it has to it. Too Often the throat hit is caused by a Chilli Pepper Flavouring. Mad Dog seems different centring on a more cracked black pepper sensation.
